Back from Bintan.. food poisoned!

Yea, i was food poisoned from bintan, it was a terrible experience. I vomitted and “lao sai” from bintan all the way to Singapore, got worst in the ferry luckily i was seated next to the rest room… When i got off the ferry, i thought i wasn’t going to make it, cause i was seeing stars and white flashes. Covered with cold sweat, my mum accompanied me to the restroom at Tenah Merah Ferry terminal. I stayed there to lao sai again for like another 10 mins.

Went to a 24hours clinic near my place to get medication. Doc said i also had low blood pressure gave me 2 days mc.

Both jack and me kena food posioning, don’t know why my parents didn’t get it. Hence we suspect  it was the beer,  jim bean and the food at the La Luna beach club that caused both of us to be sick.

Terrible feeling. Thought i am able to work today, but i still need to run to the toilet now and then.. Right now the work in office is piling up. Damn sian. Need to shorten my MC to 1 day even i was given 2 days to clear my work :<

Now i value my healthy body even more.. hope my japan trip wouldn’t end up both of us sick :<

Bintan March 2009

My parents met 2 Taiwanese tourists there as we helped them to translate eng to chi, and they were super friendly. And being such a social animal,  my mum and one of the taiwanese tourist quickly exchanged contact no. and even the address.. heard from mum that she is the stockholder of a spa company in taiwan.. they brought their 500 staff to Club Med for a company treats or sth.

After all, Bintan is a super touristy country.. not my cup of tea.. the only time we get to see the way of life of the people is at the local market near Pasar Oleh Oleh.. Really looking forward to Japan trip now.. and to the most trendy city, tokyo!

Oh beach resorts.. Bintan is nothing compared to Pulau Redang i went 3 years ago.. is uber more fun with snorkelling,  clear blue sea, cute baby sea turtle and of course the companionship!

Feng! My workaholic friend since pri school, sec sch (same class for 4 years), junior college, university (same course somemore!)! Hope you’d enjoyed your birthday celebration with us! :>

Still remember when we were in university, we did a e-commerce project together. Although we had lots conflict in terms of ideas and ways of doing things and stuff like that, we still did well for our e-commerce website! It was a fun experience doing project with you. She’s highly motivated gal coupled with good time management skill! But her workaholic drive is definitely not easy getting used to.. at least for me! lol..

Feng's 23rd birthday!

So we went to lan..

On friday, after 12 hours at work, 3 of my colleagues and i headed over to Cineleisure to join Jack for lan game at e2Max. Poor Jack had to wait for me for 2 + hours at Orchard because i’d to do OT due to some complicated matters in the office.

So we booked a private chamber  for 5 of us to play left 4 dead! You can say is a team bonding session. It feels as though we’re still very young at heart as we play games for “team bonding session” as compared to my friends in the banking industry or some sort who have their team bonding session in the pub/club. Initially we booked for 2 hours but extended another 1 hour cause’ we’d too much fun in the room! It is really a good team bonding session!

This is the “chamber” we played in, to keep those embarrassing gaming moments to only ourselves. We took a few minutes figuring out how to create a lobby and change nick etc.. can’t believe we are actually in the IT industry. Luckily we were in the private chamber! Privacy ROCKS! As all of us are casual gamers, playing the games together was hilarious and there was a lot of confusion. Another female colleague of mine and i were constantly asking the guys their whereabouts and the button to press to change weapon etc.

I’m looking forward for more of this as we only cleared one campaign in the 3 hours! lol.. hahaahah~ 3 more champaigns to go!

Left 4 Dead

Tomorrow after work, i will head over to the lan shop to have my long desired zombie killing spree. With the blasting sound of machine guns and putting myself in a o-so-immersed-in-the-game kind of feeling is simply irresistible to me right now.

And i’m going to play Left 4 Dead.
